  • Worry Free Dining

Have you heard of the Worry-Free Zone? The Worry-Free Zone is an isolated, locked pantry stocked with peanut, tree nut, and gluten-free products located in Suwannee Room. The pantry serves as a great resource to students who have serious allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, and/or gluten! If you are medically required to limit or avoid peanuts, tree nuts, and/or gluten and you have a meal plan, you should apply with the Office of Accessibility Services to request access to the pantry.

  • The Doctor's Inn Market!

Have you ever heard of the Doctor’s Inn Market before? It is a convenience store that is located in the College of Medicine. Here, medical students grab a diversity of items, such as, a delightful cup of Costa Coffee, a variety of snacks, grab-and-go meals, and other delicious beverages! If you're looking to find a quiet place to study, relax, and recharge check out Doctor’s Inn Market. Seen our locations page to see when the Doctor's Inn Market is open!

  • Chef Spotlight

Chef John Wiggins was born and raised in Tallahassee but has been cooking on campus for 36 years! He started out cooking for the FSU Football team where he introduced the now infamous Honey Fried Chicken Fridays to campus. As John told the story, he was at home eating popeyes chicken when he accidentally got some honey from a biscuit on his fried chicken. He asked if he could make it for the team and the rest is history. For over a decade Fried Chicken Friday's have been a staple in the dining halls on campus and we're grateful to Chef John for bringing the recipe to life!

  • National Nutrition Month

Did you know March is National Nutrition Month? National Nutrition Month is an annual campaign established in 1973 by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. During the month of March, everyone is invited to learn about making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits. Learn more from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics!

  • Nourish Fest!

In celebration of National Nutrition Month we're hosting our first ever Nourish Fest- a festival dedicated to discovering the power of nutrition! • Produce of the month: Jackfruit

Jackfruit is the world’s largest tree-borne fruit and is native to India. Young jackfruit has a savory, meat-like texture, while ripe jackfruit is sweet and custard-like. Jackfruit is rich in nutrients such as fiber, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium. Fiber aids digestion and supports a healthy gut microbiome. Vitamin B6 helps support mood and brain function. Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant that strengthens the immune system. Potassium is an important electrolyte that helps maintain hydration and supports proper muscle and heart function.
