What's New?

See what happened in March & what's new in April!

  • New Kosher Options!

Did you know that we have a wide range of Kosher options in our markets around campus? It's true! At just the Trading Post alone, we offer refrigerated, shelf stable, and frozen items. Between frozen Apple Blintzes and Kosher Pad Thai, cold Pastrami and Italian Sausage, & ready to eat Beef Goulash and Vegetable Soup mix; there's so many options to choose from! Stop by and look for our Kosher labels on the shelf to see what we have in stock!

  • Chef Spotlight: Sous Chef Mat Hughes

Over the course of his career, Chef Mat has gained experience in a variety of culinary environments, including Tex-Mex, seafood, and pizza restaurants. These roles gave him a strong foundation in the industry, but that hasn't stopped him from striving to learn as much as he can on his journey to becoming the chef he wants to be. While there isn't a single dish that Chef Mat prefers to make, he especially loves to cook for his family. Some of their favorites are fully dressed burgers and homemade pastas!

5 Tips to Have a Successful Finals Week:

  • Start Early
Begin studying in advance so you can review material gradually instead of cramming, leading to better retention.
  • Create a Study Schedule
Break your study time into manageable chunks and plan ahead to stay organized and make sure all topics are covered before exams.
  • Change Study Locations
Switch study spots regularly to keep your mind engaged and reduce mental fatigue from staying in one place too long.
  • Use the 10-2-5 Method
Study for 10 minutes, take a 2-minute break, then spend 5 minutes reviewing to reinforce what you just learned.
  • Try the "Rubber Duck" Method
Explain concepts out loud to an object or stuffed animal to identify gaps in your understanding and improve clarity.

Joke of the Month:

What's the worst day to propose on? April Fools Day!

  • Health & Nutrition

  • Produce Spotlight: Microgreens

This month's produce of the month is Microgreens! Microgreens are young vegetable seedlings that are harvested about 1-3 weeks after being planted and have a taste similar to their mature plants. These greens hold lots of nutritious value like vitamins and minerals like vitamins A, E, C, K, calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. At our Produce Spotlight events this month, we'll have microgreens from pea plants and beet plants!

  • Nourish Fest 2026!

In celebration of National Nutrition Month, we hosted our first ever Nourish Fest- a festival dedicated to discovering the power of nutrition! We had popcorn, frozen lemonade, clowns, mimes, balloon animals, and a portrait artist! While teaming up with on campus orgs like FSU CHAW, SDA, GDA, Campus Rec, The Food for Thought Pantry, and more, we gave students a fun way to learn about nutrition while enjoying games and snacks!

  • Have a Food Allergy? Need Special Accommodations?

The Office of Accessibility Services (OAS) supports students by providing accommodations, including dietary. Schedule a meeting with an OAS Accessibility Specialist by contacting them.

Once you've reached out to OAS, set up a meeting with your dietitian Ms. Chiung Lien, RDN LDN

  • Return Your OZZI Containers!

As we approach the end of the semester, it's time to start preparing for the Summer! Before you leave for the Summer, take a look around and help any lost OZZI containers (and dining hall dishware) make their way back home to us at Suwannee Room and Seminole Cafe! OZZI containers can be returned at the OZZI machines in Suwannee and the OZZI bin in Seminole Cafe! To learn more about our OZZI To-Go program visit the OZZI To-Go page!

  • Seminole Dining Farmer's Market

This is your last chance to stop by our bi-weekly Farmer's Market before it closes for the Summer! We set up twice a month with a variety of local vendors to give students a chance to get local produce and goods right here on campus. It's always a good time with music, tasty treats, and a chance to build community! We've got two final dates coming up, April 9th & April 23rd!

We can’t wait to see you there!

  • Fuel Your Fellow Nole

As the semester comes to an end, don’t let your unused guest swipes go to waste. Through our Fuel Your Fellow Nole campaign, you can donate your three guest swipes, and we’ll match every swipe donated to support the Food for Thought Pantry. Together, we can make a real difference in fighting food insecurity on campus. To donate, follow this link and fill out our Fuel your Fellow Nole donation form!

If you don’t have guest swipes to donate, consider donating non-perishable food items to the pantry or donating to the Student Emergency Food Pantry Fund!
